As you all know GemGfx has been working on building a design community. A place where creative professionals and creative minded people can meet and inspire each other. A big part of making the community a success, is having the right infrastructure. We have been working very hard to make the community more accessible and giving it the features that are modern and relevant to the needs of the designers we wish to attract. We know that Rome was not built in a day, so we are by no means saying we have arrived. The building of this community is a long process one that we are committed to.

We can however tell you that we’ve made some major changes in the way the community looks and feels. we’ve put together some features that we think will help folks use the community with ease, and will help them meet and interact with others in their particular field. Here are some of the features we’ve put into the new community.

1. New user profile and your own personal profile link that you can use to share your profile with friends.
2. New placement of user profile image and basic information.
3. New status updates right from your homepage.
4. See all your friends status updates right from your homepage.
5. Easy to find site announcements. Keep updated with what we’re up to.
6. Easily accessible friends list
7. New chat bar including friend list mangement.
8. Cool translucent chat bar.

Ok these are just a few of the things we’ve done. We have more in the works as we continue to work to build the GemGfx community into something to benefit us designers in doing what it is we do.
